Group Break: 2004 and 2009 Bowman

Ok, this is a small post, but a good one.

4 Retail Packs of 2009 Bowman (10 cards per)
2 Hobby Packs of 2004 Bowman (10 cards per)

First, the 2009 had some veterans and some prospects:

including a David Price rookie and a couple of nice plays at the plate.  There were two gold parallels of each type:

Of course, the best stuff in 2009 is Chrome:

The Feliz Chrome is very nice.  The WBC card will be randomed.

As for 2004, there was also a good mix of veterans and prospects:

Is it just me, or does Rodney Choy Foo look nothing like a "Rodney", or a "Choy Foo"?

There was one gold parallel of each type:

This guy was also hanging out in the second pack:

As with any old Bowman product, I pretty much expected this guy to have dropped out of ball somewhere around AA.  Then I realized, it's actually the Brandon Wood that currently plays for the Pirates and actually has a card in 2011 Topps Update.  So really, this is a pretty darn good hit for a random Bowman pack.  You can't beat a crazy on-card auto, either.

Updating the spreadsheet gives us...

2000 cards! and we're still going strong.

Still no 50-card club for the Twins or Nats, but the Angels are looking good with that pen on their line.
