On the Sixth Day of Cardmas, My Mistress Gave to Me...

6 Random Blasters,

5 Jersey Things,
4 Packs of Stuff,
3 UD Heroes,
2 Goodwin Blasters,
and a Baseball Gem of the Game!

2009 Topps Ticket to Stardom Baseball
2009 Topps 206 Baseball
2008 Upper Deck Draft Edition Football
2011 Upper Deck Football
2013 Panini Prizm Football
2012 Leaf Young Stars Football

Let's start with the baseball:

David Wright was on the box, so it's appropriate that he was in it, too. That's a nice looking card.

Ticket to Stardom isn't the best product in the world.  It's like a terrible knockoff of Contenders.

This is a perforated (ticket-edge) parallel of Andrus base rookie.  The normal base rookies are short-printed #/199.  That pretty much means you're more likely to get a parallel rookie than a base rookie.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

206 hit the bronzer pretty hard.

There are some great looking minis in there.  I had to show the Mick after his appearance yesterday.  I forget who the Rookie was.

My favorite card was Wright, yet again.

Football time.

Might as well lead off with a pair of Hokies.  Hall and Adibi made up one of the most formidable linebacking corps in college football.  Strangely, though, it would be the #3 LB James Anderson who would have the most productive NFL career.

There's a card that doesn't scan well.

What the hell, have 4 more, including that pukebucket in the upper left.

Green foil parallels, because you gotta have something in there, I guess.

Wow, finally some decent looking cards from the set.

2011 UD Football yielded a bunch of horizontal inserts.

The vertical inserts are better, though.  Really glad to pick up the Ryan Williams.  For a better way of doing lineman cards, see the Fourth Day of Cardmas.

I'm not showing any of the base cards from the Young Stars blaster because they are horrendous.

My first auto is ok, though it would have been much better late last season.  Ihenacho was a pretty good contributor to the Broncos D last year.  This year, he's on IR for the Redskins...which, I guess if you are on the Redskins is a good thing.

The second auto is actually really good.  Mike Davis is the main running back at South Carolina right now.  He ran for 1000+ yards in 2013 and followed it with 900+ this year (with a bowl game remaining).  He may opt for the draft after this year, forgoing his last season.

The Blue Prizms are beautiful.  Especially for the Lions and Titans.

The last card of the day is the guaranteed Rated Rookie patch from the Prizm blaster:

This is about as bad a Rated Rookie as you can get.  He signed with the Texans, was released, signed by Browns, released, and signed once again by the Texans...and then released.

Well that was certainly no Mickey Mantle jersey to finish the day.
