Football Contest: Week 12

All of the bye weeks have passed, so every team is in play this week. Many teams out there are hoping for a little late-season Magic:

How about 7 2012 Topps Magic Hobby Packs?

A couple of teams hit short prints:

 There were also two each of the Supernatural Stars and Magical Moments:

 Each pack had a mini, and one of the packs had a bonus SP mini:

Enough of the group gifts...time for games:

DETROIT LIONS 5, HOUSTON TEXANS 3
>>> The Texans scored a mini RC, but it was their only card.  The Lions rolled with 3 base cards and a RC.

DALLAS COWBOYS 4, WASHINGTON REDSKINS 0
>>> 4 base cards to nothing.  This is all but a death sentence for the Skins.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 5, NEW YORK JETS 2
>>> A Brady short print sinks the Jets.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS 3, CHICAGO BEARS 3
>>> The Vikings win this tiebreaker because the base card and insert were both Jared Allen and are both great looking cards.

OAKLAND RAIDERS 3, CINCINNATI BENGALS 2
>>> The Mini McFadden takes the game.

CLEVELAND BROWNS 7, PITTSBURGH STEELERS 5
>>> The Steelers put up a 5-spot, but unfortunately ran in to a capable Browns team led by an enchanted rookie:

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 8, BUFFALO BILLS 2
>>> Speaking of enchanted rookies:

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 1, TENNESSEE TITANS 0
>>> 1 base card is better than none.

DENVER BRONCOS 4, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 2
>>> A Broncos rookie sealed the deal here.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 2, MIAMI DOLPHINS 2
>>> In a rookie vs. rookie matchup, I looked at the season performance.  I guess you could say the Seahawks won by just a hair:

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 5, ATLANTA FALCONS 2
>>> An awesome insert of a stud rookie RB led the Bucs:

BALTIMORE RAVENS 5, SAN DIEGO CHARGERS 2
>>> Ed Reed and company take down a Supernatural Philip Rivers.

ARIZONA CARDINALS 13, ST. LOUIS RAMS 3
>>> The Rams' second loss of the season comes in spectacular fashion as the Cardinals landed a RC auto:

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 3, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 3
>>> Tie goes to the Mini Short Print.

NEW YORK GIANTS  6, GREEN BAY PACKERS 0
>>> U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 2, CAROLINA PANTHERS 1
>>> A RC beats a base card.

Updated Standings:

Thanks to a really weak division, the Broncos become the first team to clinch a playoff spot by winning the AFC West.  With 5 games left, the Chargers could tie their record, but the Broncos have already dispatched the Chargers twice this season.

Notably, the Bears loss dropped them from a playoff spot while the 49ers won to jump back in.  In the AFC, the Jaguars jumped into a spot vacated by the Bengals.
