Football Contest: Playoff Predictions

The playoff picture is slowly becoming clearer and clearer.  Let's take a look at the latest simulation.

Both the Bills and Jets dug out of holes, but are still on the outskirts.  The Ravens are oh-so-close to clinching a berth.  The Texans improved their outlook considerably this week, while the Colts came out of nowhere to push the Jaguars for a spot.  The Chargers won again to improve their chances.  The Chiefs are still mathematically alive, but only grabbed the Wild Card in 8 of 10,000 cases.

In the NFC, The Giants continued to roll, while the Cowboys and Eagles did not.  The Redskins have been eliminated from playoff contention, but can still play spoiler against the Eagles (Week 16) and Cowboys (Week 17).  After back-to-back wins over the Vikings and Lions, a Packers win vs. the Bears this week could all but seal the deal.  A Falcons loss coupled with a Bucs win has those two teams neck-and-neck.  While the Rams show 100% for this simulation, I'm not certain they are fully locked.  Mathematically, I think there's still a chance they could lose a tiebreaker for the second Wild Card spot in one unlikely scenario.  At 10 wins, though, they are definitely in a win-and-they're-in situation.

See you on Sunday!
