A while back, I pulled a beautiful Joe DiMaggio Yankee Stadium Legacy Memorabilia card, by far the best card I have ever pulled. Given the scarcity of the YSL Memorabila cards, especially DiMaggio, and the number of collectors looking for it, I knew I had to sell. It killed me to sell it, until an offer of around $250 came in. I used some of that money to buy a new faucet for my bathroom remodel. I used some to buy P90X (which was well worth it, as I had great results, then had some crap happen, got lazy, ate emotionally, and f***ed it all up. I plan on starting again soon). I also used some of the money to buy a complete 2006 Topps Allen and Ginter set, including short prints and the Dick Perez sketch insert set. Finding a hobby box of 2006 A&G for under $200 is impossible (hell, you can't even buy a blaster on eBay for less than a redonkulous $80) . Buying the whole set for $67.88 shipped sounded like a pretty good deal to me. They don't pop up that often on eBay, and tend to get some heavy bids, so I was happy to bring this one home. After flipping through it, the price just sounded better and better. In fact, I liked the set so much, I thought I'd share it on here, one card at a time. I know a lot of you haven't seen much of this set, so hopefully you will enjoy this as much as I will.
Is there really a better candidate for card #1?
Just an absolutely gorgeous card.

Not this year, there sure isn't.
Still my favorite A&G set. I bought one too.
