Santana looks good in a Twins cap. Anyone think he'll be in one again?

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #246
He should start a sports card price guide that can't accurately assess card value. It'd be so redundant.

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #245
I just learned that Matt Holliday was a heavily recruited QB in high school and turned down a chance to play at Oklahoma State. I'd say he made the right choice.

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #243
On May 6, 1998, Kerry Wood struck out 20 batters. I'm still as amazed by that today as I was on May 7, 1998.

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #242
Jon Garland appeared as himself in an episode of The Bernie Mac Show. I'm sure when it becomes trendy to watch The Bernie Mac Show in 20 years, all the kids will know who he is...

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #240
Lidge is kind of the pitcher version of a homerun or bust hitter. His strikeout rate is off the charts, but his era isn't anything to write home about.

Cards from the buckstore.
Doug, of Buckstore Cards, sent me some cards a really long time ago. He hit on several of my want lists. I love packages to hit several different sets and collections.
First, some Allen and Ginter goodness:
George Kenneth and Larry Wayne. Hard to not like those two.
A closer look at George Kenneth. Awesome card.
Next, some lesser known guys, but needs nonetheless:
If variety is indeed what they say it is, then life is quite spicy.
Since I can't read any of those names, I can't tell you who any of them are. Too bad. So sad.
I'll finish this set one day, dammit.
Three Wrights and no tongue hanging out...that's rare these days. I feel like I could touch the Zim card on the cheek and a gust of mouth air would come out. Exciting.
This card is just beautiful. I love the design, and who doesn't love Bruuuuuuuuce!
Thanks, Mr. Buckstore!

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #238
My collection is so heavily concentrated around the 2007-present time frame that I really had no clue Lee wasn't always an Astro. I do know that he has 4 billion cards as an Astro, though.

2006 Topps Allen & Ginter #236
Punto finished this season with the Dodgers. That's pretty fortunate that he was on a successful playoff team this year...except for the fact that the last two teams he was on were the Red Sox and Cardinals.

2013 Topps Football Birthday Packs!
Ok, so I'm exactly one month late for posting birthday stuff. My wife gave me two packs of 2013 Topps Football cards in my birthday package. She also gave me tons of candy and cookies and other treats. I'm not sharing those. They're long gone.
Here are the cards:
Well, that just sucks, doesn't it. As many insert sets as Topps has, how does this happen?

Woohoo, I got the Watt Crotch!

2012 SPx Football
I've posted several packs of 2012 SPx on here, so why not post a little more.
I'm still working on the base set (want list here).
It pains me greatly to collect a set that has a UVA logo in it. Yuck.
This isn't exactly the rookie I was hoping for, but I'm still a sucker for college cards. I feel like the team colors mean a lot more in college than in the pros. That can make for some nice looking cards.
As always, Go Hokies!!!

Who's your Daddyohoho?
Thanks to my absence, I am pretty far behind on trade posts, with more trades coming in soon. It's time to start knocking them out.
I'm pretty sure I used the standard post title for a trade with Daddyohoho of Screaming Line Drive.
He hooked me up with some 2012 Topps Football needs as well as an Allen and Ginter sketch card I needed.

I enjoyed this trade because I was able to send a huge chunk of cards out of the house and get specific needs in return. I'm in the world of downsizing right now, so this played right in my favor.
Thanks, Daddyohohohohohoho!
