Ok, so first cuts were made to narrow the 44 entrants down to 32. The 12 that were eliminated were entered into a drawing for a consolation prize. The remaining 32 were randomly assigned a draft spot. Details are on the Contest Page found

Well, you know what they say... The first cut is the deepest!!! Man, not even a consolation prize:-(
