Shoebox Card #63

This just looks like a card you would find in a shoebox.  Or a shoe.

Shoebox Card #62

I picked this great card as a tribute to Collective Troll.

Shoebox Card #61

I would love to see a product come out with hologram logo stickers.  That would be a great throwback.

Shoebox Card #60

Could you imagine coming up with a villain named Black Tom these days?

This was the only X-Men card in the boxes.  I would love to know how it got there.

This is one ugly damn card, and I love the crap out of it.

Shoebox Card #58

1988/1989 Pacific Legends is actually on my wantlist.  I need #119 (Buddy Lewis) and Checklist 2.

I already have Rirruto.

Dear Topps, this is an example of a perfect subset.

Do you suppose that tape is holding his finger on his hand?

Shoebox Card #55

A lot of things had to go very wrong for this picture to exist.  The only thing right is that the photographer had perfect timing to nail a shot of a guy looking in a very odd direction while falling down after breaking his bat.

By the way, I love every 1992 set.  All of them.  Donruss, Fleer, Score.  You may even see a wantlist for those popup around here sometime.

Shoebox Card #54

Nearly a year-and-half ago, I inexplicably stopped doing my Shoebox Card series.  Here's the explanation of the cards.

Let's get back to it.  Here's #54:

Oh, good.  It's been so long that I have no idea why I chose this card.  Oh well.  Maybe I did it just because it's yellow.  Like, very yellow.  Reed played 82 games in the pros.  He played 791 minor league games.  That's a lot.

Well, that wasn't the awesome return to this series I was hoping for but it's something.

And it's yellow.

Very yellow.

State of the Blog...

Virginia.

See what I did there?

Seriously, I'm going to try to come up with something at some point, but I just don't have the time right now.
